Where the Current Takes Us 〰️

Where the Current Takes Us, a three book collection, promotes the beauty of connecting with the world, encouraging reflection on one’s surroundings and deepening personal awareness and perspective.

Each book reflects a different location and period of time from my life; consisting from living in San Fransico, the journey back home to San Diego, and traversing around Japan. Each book has anecdotes and poems that correspond with the imagery on the page.

Using film photography, mixed with poetic and anecdotal text, I aim to reproduce the currents of one’s emotions that brush along the shore in one’s mind, focusing on the desire to find self-evaluation and awareness. These currents guided me to the tales told by these locations, and captures the narritives condemned to mere memories that I reflected on from my life experience, stories that deserve to be shared beyond those who own the experience.
